We serve children who are currently in Kindergarten through 8th grade at multiple locations around Charlotte. Each one of our Freedom School sites serves a particular school or community area. If your child attends one of the schools or lives in one of the communities we serve, they may be eligible to register for Freedom School.

Christ Lutheran

In partnership with Christ Lutheran and McClintock Partners in Education, the Christ Lutheran Freedom School serves scholars from McClintock Middle and their younger siblings.

CN Jenkins

In partnership with CN Jenkins and St. Peter Catholic Church, the CN Jenkins Freedom School serves scholars from Druid Hills Academy.

Highland Renaissance Academy

In partnership with Covenant Presbyterian, the Highland Renaissance Freedom School serves scholars from Highland Renaissance Academy.

Hornets Nest Elementary

In partnership with Hornets Nest Elementary and the Summer Access Fund, the Hornets Nest Freedom School serves scholars from Hornets Nest Elementary.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle

In partnership with Martin Luther King Jr. Middle, the MLK Freedom School serves scholars from Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle and Hidden Valley Elementary.

Rama Road Elementary

In partnership with Christ Episcopal, the Rama Road Freedom School serves scholars from Rama Road Elementary.

Pinewood Elementary

In partnership with Myers Park Baptist and Charlotte Catholic, the Pinewood Freedom School serves scholars from Pinewood Elementary.

Providence Day School

In partnership with Providence Day, the Providence Day Freedom School serves scholars from Oakhurst STEAM and schools in the surrounding community.

Renaissance West STEAM Academy

In partnership with the Renaissance West Community Initiative and United Way, the Renaissance West Freedom School serves scholars from the Renaissance West community.

The Grove

In partnership with The Grove Presbyterian, The Grove Freedom School serves scholars from the Firefly program and the surrounding community.

Thomasboro Academy

In partnership with Thomasboro Academy, the Thomasboro Freedom School serves scholars from Thomasboro Academy and the surrounding community.

University City UMC

In partnership with University City UMC, the University City UMC Freedom School serves scholars from David Cox Elementary.
